While health and wellness professionals readily recognize the importance of working across campus to deliver comprehensive, continuum-wide behavioral health support, achieving true interdepartmental buy-in is often easier said than done. While every campus role impacts the student experience, engaging partners who lack background expertise or health education in their job descriptions can feel like an uphill battle.

Join in a conversation that will offers a candid space to unpack the realities of cross-campus collaboration. Together, we will discuss practical successes and lessons learned, while breaking down concrete strategies for building relationships from scratch. Participants will explore the stages of departmental readiness, learning how to meet campus partners where they are, frame shared goals, and timing outreach effectively to build lasting, campus-wide support networks.

This event will only be offered live. No post-event recording will be available.

As interest in psychedelics expands across therapeutic, spiritual, recreational, and academic contexts, higher education professionals are increasingly encountering students who are curious about, using, or seeking support related to psychedelic experiences. At the same time, rapidly changing laws, emerging treatment models, and shifting cultural attitudes can make it difficult for institutions to know how to respond. This session will explore the current legal and policy environment, considerations for student conduct, and practical harm reduction approaches that prioritize student safety, dignity, and informed decision-making. The session will highlight tools and resources that campus professionals can use in their own settings and apply key concepts through case-based scenarios involving psychedelic use, therapy, spirituality, and student support. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of their role and practical resources for responding to psychedelic-related issues with greater knowledge, confidence, and care.
